When Talea Beer Co. set out to change the way New Yorkers experience beer, they reimagined everything—from flavor profiles to the spaces where people gather. Founded by LeAnn Darland and Tara Hankinson, Talea is NYC’s first exclusively woman-owned production brewery, known for its easy-drinking beers, modern design, and welcoming atmosphere that invites everyone in—beer lover or not.
Our Work
We were proud to help bring their latest vision to life with the buildout of Talea’s Penn District taproom. Working closely with the Talea team and ALA Studio, our role was to help create a space that felt as thoughtful and intentional as their brand: airy, bold, and community-focused. It’s more than a place to grab a drink—it’s a space that reflects the spirit of its founders and the growing Penn District neighborhood it now calls home.
